Press Release Fiscal Year 2017 - Financial Results

ALPHA TRUST – ANDROMEDA S.A. released its financial results for the fiscal year 2017 under the International Financial Reporting Standards.

Net earnings of ALPHA TRUST – ANDROMEDA S.A. for the year 2017 stood at €2.1 mil against €0.70 mil. for the previous year.

It should be noted that retained earnings stood at €0.77 mil. at the end of the year.

The Company’s gross income for the year 2017 stood at €3.18 mil against €1.20 mil. in the previous year. Gross income for the year 2017 mainly results from the valuation of securities at fair values based on IFRS and gains from the purchase and sale of securities.

On December 31st 2017 the Company’s Net Asset Value (NAV) stood at €11.2 mil. or €26.87 per share, against €8.97 mil. in the previous year, thus rising by 25.07%.

Its portfolio was totally invested in Greece, by 94.77% in domestic stocks (including own shares) and by 5.23% in bonds.

The Company’s top five equity holdings at the end of the fiscal year consist of QUEST HOLDINGS, THRACE PLASTICS, OTE, MYTILINAIOS – GROUP OF COMPANIES and AEGEAN AIRLINES.

The stock of ALPHA TRUST-ANDROMEDA S.A., with a closing price of €22.8 on 22/2/2018, was traded in the Athens Stock Exchange at a discount of -18.97%.

ALPHA TRUST-ANDROMEDA S.A. constitutes a long term investment instrument and its selections are based on criteria which are not affected by temporary conditions, thus allowing it to hold high percentages of less traded securities and to have the ability to increase its investments over time.
